In recognition of the centuries of erased history of African people and their descedants; and as a practice of economic justice we are asking that non Black and Brown organizations consider making a donation of $20 - $50 for access to this community-written and produced document.

Thank you for joining us.

These practices are not new to our communities. For more than 150 years, from the rural South to northern cities, Black people have used farming to build self-determined communities and resist oppressive structures that tear then down.

This manual is Soil Generation’s first published work in capturing some of these practices in order to share with our communities.

This is a Living Guide. Knowledge and wisdom are ever-evolving. This manual is a living document that will change and grow over time. We look forward to publishing future editions with improvements and expansion in narrative and representation.
